Fr. Richard Rohr says, “Forgiveness is simply the religious word for letting go.”

God lets go of the wrongs we do.

“…as far as the east is from the west, so far he removes our transgressions from us.”  Psalm 103:12

God does not hold our wrongs against us.

God invites us to let go of the wrongs done to us.

“Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.”  Matthew 6:12
